First fund-raising event wonderfully successful!

A special thanks to my Host Committee and all our guests at the May 22 fund-raising event at one of the most unique and stunning properties in Simi Valley. All told, nearly 200 people attended the event at the home of Ed and Madeleine Landry, who also served as the lead Hosts along with Assemblyman Cameron Smyth. My special thanks to the Landrys and the Smyths for everything!

As Mike Chandler said on his Vote Simi Valley website, “What a night!” There definitely was energy and excitement among the very diverse crowd, which included county Supervisor Peter Foy, City Council members Steve Sojka and Michelle Foster, Assembly candidate Jeff Gorell, Sheriff candidate Geoff Dean, Clerk-Recorder candidate Mark Lunn, and many, many business and nonprofit leaders from our community.

   

The views from the property were breathtaking, and visitors were amazed at this house and accessory design elements such as multiple waterfalls, an infinity pool overlooking the valley, a bridge over the back yard and the design of the home itself. It’s not like any other structure in Simi Valley – and this was not like any other fund-raiser. 

I have to say it was the most successful fund-raising event I have ever staged, and for that I am thankful for our Hosts and the Host Committee. Once again, thank you to Michael and Jo Alterman, Bob and Mary Bibb, Gary and Cathy Carlson, Darrell Coletto, Bob and Judy Daggs, Rafael and Natalie Dagnesses, Jack and Elaine Freeman, Larry and Kathy Fried, Billee Gillibrand, Larry and Robbie Hibbler, Brian and Debbie Iverson.

It was such a diverse audience representing almost every aspect of Simi Valley, indicating such a broad support for my campaign. It is very humbling, and once again I thank everyone for participating and hope they had an enjoyable evening.
